This how-to assumes you have already created a rubric, and that you now wish to attach that rubric to some course content.


For Journals, Wikis, Blogs, and Discussion Boards
  • Go to the Control Panel on the lower left side of the screen.
  • Expand the Course Tools
  • Click on whichever tool you are adding a rubric to (Journals, Wikis, Blogs, or Discussion Boards).
  • Click on the action link next to the content
  • Click Edit
  • Scroll down to the grade options and make sure that there is a grade entered and selected, otherwise the Add Rubric button will be hidden.
  • Hover over Add Rubric
  • Click Select Rubric
  • A Select Rubrics window will open. Click on the box next the rubric that you want
  • Click Submit
  • Click Submit to finish attaching the Rubric

For Assignments
  • Go to the course content page
  • Go the assignment
  • Click on the action link next to it
  • Click Edit
  • Scroll down to Grading and hover over Add Rubric
  • Click Select Rubric
  • A Select Rubrics window will open. Click on the box next to the rubric that you want
  • Click Submit
  • Click Submit again to finish attaching the rubric
